BOYCOTT LEXINGTON

Posted in What we can do together at 9:54 pm by lexingt2

Boycott the town of Lexington. As unfortunate as this is, the lack of any other option (until we go to court) makes this the best plan. Start now. No buying anything within the town of Lexington city limits. They want to punish us for shopping there, so don’t. Write lexingtonnc@yahoo.com for details on how we can still beat this annexation…..or call today.

Now we have to ask our County Commissioners for an environmental impact study for the areas facing annexation. Also, we need to start collecting money NOW for the court battle. We need to call Sen. Bingham and ask why he is so strangle silent on this issue. We all need to vote - and vote Republican - on at least the state level or nothing will ever change. Vote for Rayne Brown. Let Holliman know that we do not appreciate him ignoring us! Keith Bost

My wife and i were at the latest meeting, learned a bit too. Am going to start working on writing all who represent us, we need to start some fund raisers such as community yard sales , car washes, car shows etc.. nobody is going to do it for us. We must vote and only for those who support us regardless of thier party… yes we must boycott lexington until this matter is resolved even as painful as that may be. STAND UP OR BE RUN OVER…

As I study this, I’m more and more convinced that BOYCOTT is the answer. I’m not trying to take credit… it was already strongly stated on this website and has been used successfully in Cary. We now have to enlist every rural resident and convince them to SHOP ELSEWHERE. This is going to be a 1-on-1 effort. It is going to take some time. IT WILL WORK…

    Will it work?

There really is no question that a boycott will work. The only question is how much pain the town has to endure from lost jobs and lost businesses before these hard-headed “leaders” come to realize that they can’t steal from their neighbors and get away with it. We don’t dial 911.

The 2000 census, available on the net, indicates that there are 7,900 households in Lexington against 58,000 in Davidson. The town gov’t is living off of the money that we carry into town, through sales taxes and other gouges they are taking from the merchants. WE ARE FUNDING OUR ENEMY!!!
